7 Days of Health
Leading up to the silly season, full of hustle and bustle, we thought we would help you feel as nourished and healthy as possible. So here are 7 days of healthy habits to try as we don’t want you to burn out before all the fun begins!
1. GET SLEEPING
Sleep is incredibly important for overall health as it not only recharges the body but reduces blood pressure, boosts your immune system and reduces anxiety! 2. GET POSITIVE
Try using affirmations or mantras each day starting with ‘I am’ or ‘I can’. Whether its for health, abundance, relaxation, confidence or anything else - tell yourself you can achieve it! Practising this activates the rewards system in your brain and can assist in how you experience emotional and physical pain as well as boosting self confidence. Even a smile can release endorphins and strengthen immunity too!
3. GET INTO NATURE
Under countless studies, it has been shown that getting into nature has a plethora of health benefits. It has been proven to lower blood pressure and stress hormone levels, increase immune system function and heighten mood. This has even resulted in a condition called Nature Deficit Disorder if you lack exposure. It has also been proven that nature reduces feelings of isolation and increases rates of healing!
4. GET RELAXING
Ever needed an excuse to draw a nice warm bath? Then you will love to know that it can improve blood flow, increase immunity and relax the muscles (as well as the mind). Feel free to add some pure essential oils to your bath like lavender for relaxation or eucalyptus for increased immunity. Another excellent addition to your bath is epsom salts for drawing out toxins, pain relief and more!
5. GET SIPPING
Tea has so many different health benefits that will have you feeling your best every day. It is perfect for boosting your immune system, aiding digestion, reducing the risk of heart disease or stroke and is high in antioxidants. 6. GET MOVING
There is nothing like working up a sweat and moving your body to feel great! It also lowers blood pressure, anxiety, and increases immunity, strength and mood. So get that beautiful body of yours moving and feel your confidence and health soar.
7. GET COOKING
Not only can cooking from home save you money but it is a great way to ensure you are getting all the nutrients you need to feel your best! Make sure to include a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, complex carbohydrates, grains, lean protein and dairy (or alternatives). On average, takeaway can also contains more sodium, sugar and fat...Plus its more fun to get creative in the kitchen.
So make sure to try these ideas one day at a time and see if they can become a part of your daily routine and have you feeling your best!
