Collection: Black Tea

Every black tea here is one of two things, and the difference is worth knowing before you buy.

Single origin is leaf from one garden, one harvest, with nothing added. What you taste is the place — the malt of an Assam, the muscatel of a good Darjeeling, the dry cocoa of a Keemun. It shifts a little year to year, the way anything grown does.

Blends are built. We mix leaf with leaf, or with fruit, flower, spice and oil, to make something that tastes the same every time you open the pouch. Earl Grey is a blend. So is English Breakfast, and so is everything from Chocolate Mudcake to Whisky & Cream.

Neither is better. Single origin rewards attention; a blend is reliable at seven in the morning. Most people end up with both in the cupboard.
