Cultivated in Kagoshima's lush, subtropical climate with rich volcanic soils, this tea is made from the Saemidori cultivar. The bushes are shaded with bamboo mats for up to four weeks before harvest, enhancing chlorophyll and reducing astringency. The result is a sweet taste from young, hand-picked leaves. Steeps a bright green cup with vegetal notes, rich umami, and a hint of sweet corn.
