Tie Guan Yin Oolong is a semi fermented tea that sits between green tea and black tea. It has a floral aroma, with hints of berries, chocolate and roasted chestnuts. It is sweeter and less bitter in taste than black or green tea.
The health benefits of Tie Guan Yin Oolong tea are many. It is high in polyphenols which are instrumental in preventing over-oxidation (aging) in the body. The Polyphenols have also been shown to help soothe skin conditions.
Catechin can also accelerate the metabolism, helping you to burn fat and loose weight quicker. Drinking Tie Guan Yin has also been shown to help to lower blood sugar levels and cholesterol.
This tea can be brewed as many as eight times.
